Best PC Gaming Monitors for your intense PC gaming!

If you have the top of the line PC desktop with a powerful processor, 16 gigs of RAM and a crisp graphics card, GREAT! However, you’ll need a monitor that can support all those awesome features in your PC. Sometimes, monitors can be overlooked when you neglect the specs for a monitor that matches your PC.

It’s like your brain is the PC and your eyes are the monitors that was built for your brain to visualize the world you see (A HORRIBLE example, but you get the idea). Take the same concept and apply it to this. You need to find the right monitor (eyes) to have it display what the PC (your brain) can do.

Gaming these days has been really emphasizing the graphics display so the monitors have to support the demand of the high tech processing speeds and how much data it can process to the display. In other words, the monitors today have to match the high tech of the PC and the game.

In this list, I’ve ranked the PC gaming monitors based on its resolution, the picture, the unique features, the HZ & its response time, the price and its quality. Again I will take the people’s feedback into consideration based on how satisfied they are with the monitors. So here we go!

Sceptre C248W-1920R 24 inch Curved Gaming LED Monitor

Best PC Gaming Monitor
21.43 x 15.64 x 7.3 in
1920×1080 pixels
6.37 Pounds

First impression, this monitor looks sleek and impressively thin! For the cheap price, the built looks good and gives an overall great presentation for what it’s worth and how it looks!

This impressive cheap curved monitor comes with a plethora of features! It comes with a HDMI port, display port, VGA port and your audio in/out jacks. In other words, it gives you an ease of connectivity through most hardware such as PCs, consoles, etc..

The monitor comes with in built speakers that saves you money for buying an external set of speakers. The speakers are good enough to compete with an average set of speakers, but in my opinion, you should get a set of external speakers to maximize your experience in your gaming in your man cave. You can check out my speaker recommendations here.

The monitor offers up to 75 HZ of refresh rate, which is an ideal rate for playing your AAA title games, eliminating any visual distortions from the intense graphics. So games like PUBG, Fortnite and any other intense graphic games shouldn’t be a problem displaying.

However, gaming these days, people are looking for a more powerful monitor that requires 4K and a more refresh rate with less response time from the controller. This monitor won’t offer those features unfortunately, but for the price it offers ($134), its definitely worth checking out if you’re running low on cash. I would highly recommend this PC gaming monitor for any college student or person who wants to take advantage on a cheap monitor with great features.

  • Sleek and well made for its price!
  • Good speakers!
  • Great price!
  • Average screen display!

LG 34UC79G-B 34 Inch Curved UltraWide IPS Gaming Monitor

Best PC Gaming Monitor 2
2560 x 1080 pixels
32.7 x 17.7 x 15.7 inches
18.9 pounds

Next on the list is this aggressive looking curved ultra wide panel from LG. First impression is this thing looks like one of batman’s baterangs that he throws at his enemies (Sorry that’s how I am wired). With the red accents on the stand, it has a”BAM!” effect on you when you first look at it.

Looking at the design, its plastic framing looks good and well put together. In the back it has a plastic clip that attaches onto the beam so you can make cable management more manageable. It has 2 HDMI ports, a display port, 2 usb 1.5 ports and the audio jacks.

When it comes to the picture quality, it has a 2560 x 1080 resolution, which isn’t the best but enough to support any PC specs and it’s not too aggressive with the high end specs to a point where we’ll see motion blurs and such. But it does come with a 1ms response time from your controller and 144 HZ response time in picture, something all gamers are looking for in terms of the smoothest frame rate.

However, of all the ultra wides that are available, this PC gaming monitor gives the lowest brightness settings and RGB coloring selections. If you want to go professional in gaming, this TV wouldn’t be recommended for you since the settings for color and brightness is limited compared to other monitors.

But at the same time, if you have a lot of windows in your room that gives a lot of sun glare, it won’t reflect light back into your eyes as much, making this monitor a good choice to put into a bright room. When you look at it at different angles, the picture quality won’t be affected as much either, making this monitor a good viewing experience when you watch your friends play or when you watch a movie.

It also has a preset menu, where you can select the preset coloring settings if you want to game, watch a movie, read an article, etc.. Of course there is a custom mode if you want to set your coloring yourself. This is a nice touch for you if you’re not into this kind of stuff.

Overall, this PC gaming monitor is fantastic for gaming and media viewing. With it’s smooth frame rate, its quick response time and the price of only $500, this is a fantastic buy for those who want a great LG monitor.

  • Aggressive gaming look!
  • Nice cable management in the back!
  • The best refresh rate and response time you can get!
  • Preset coloring for various modes
  • A little expensive
  • Color and brightness (HDR) isn’t that great!

ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ 27 inch 4K UHD Gaming Monitor with Eye Care

Best PC Gaming Monitor 4
3840×2160 pixels
25 x 3.7 x 15 inches
20.3 pounds

Welcome to the future, ladies and gentlemen!! I would like to introduce the ONLY PC gaming monitor that has 4K HDR AND 144 HZ Refresh Rate! Finally after all these years of having high refresh rate and 4K resolution, they made a monitor that has both!

It has a 3840 x 2160, which looks AMAZING in terms of having 4K on a 27 inch monitor. As Apple would say it, it is like having an iPad with retina resolution on it, and it is pretty darn close to it. It’s HDR is also amazing, pulling of lots of color data and brightness at the same time. It has a feature called “Quantum Dot Display”, meaning it has a saturated, more accurate brighter coloring than a LCD display! The coloring on this thing is so vivid and bright that it makes playing The Witcher 3 look like a vivid cinematic poster.

From looking at it in a designing point of view, it has that “modern gaming” look, having all those aggressive lines, RGB lighting on the ROG logos, and its PROJECTOR LOGO! Yes I said it! It has a projector in the back that you can shine the logo on the back of the wall like a bat signal! It is top of the line Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark brand kind of vibe!

Now it comes down to purchasing it. Having a 4K monitor with 144 HZ refresh rate is consider to be, according to gamers, too far ahead of its time. In other words, no game can push the monitor’s specs to its max because the game isn’t up to par with the monitor’s display resolution. Plus, will a competitive gamer purchase this $2000 monitor for its use? The answer is “Probably not!”. The monitor is like purchasing a Lamborghini. It has an amazing engine that isn’t necessary to use on the road. It’s more of a toy and eye candy than a necessary tool.

In conclusion, if you want to buy this ridiculously expensive monitor for its amazing, out of this world, specs to really show off to your friends, then feel free to do so and splurge! This thing will last you for a good 3-5 years until it becomes a necessary item for the future of gaming! But until then, feel free to buy this and feel “luxurious”.

  • VERY aggressive gaming aesthetics!
  • 144 Hz refresh rate AND 4K resolution!
  • FANTASTIC color and brightness!
  • The future of gaming in this monitor!
  • VERY expensive!!
  • Not a necessary investment!
