When I was born, color on TVs and the NES were introduced. In order to hook up the NES, you needed the yellow, red, and white cable inputs to connect to the TV. As time goes by, the component cable came, providing more brightness and color to gaming for your Xbox and PS2. Then HDMI came for the PS3 and Xbox 360, where the resolution on the TV looks crystal clear like you’re looking outside with no filters. Now, HDMI is almost essential to support this generation’s graphics and gaming processors.
In 2018, TVs are improving and delivering top quality pictures now then we ever seen before. Now, TVs are involving 4K, Ultra HD and a huge dynamic range of picture quality. Technology has taken TVs to a whole new level!

This TV is a win for shoppers on a budget because it is SUPER affordable! For the price, you get 4K resolution, HDR, and an app called ROKU that features all of the streaming apps and access to thousands of movies all on one remote! That’s crazy!! Customers are shockingly thrilled on how this TV is basically a steal!
TCL jumped into TV manufacturing in 2012 and has been climbing the top TV sales chart, right behind Samsung and LG, making it one of the fastest growing TV companies. That’s because they create their own material in China and they don’t rely on ordering parts from other big TV manufacturing companies, making their TVs cheap and high quality. No wonder this TV is getting great responses from people.
The TV itself has over 72 – 96 contrast control zones, making it super customizable to control the dark and light colors. It has a LED dimming features where you can adjust the brightness if the room gets too bright or too dark. Not many cheap TVs have this kind of feature which is a big plus.
For gaming, the TV has a low input lag, meaning the TV response time from the gaming controller wont suffer a huge lag, keeping up with the flashy colors and fast paced action the games have to offer. So all you Fortnite/PUBG players, you’re safe! For you TV/Netflix/Hulu watchers out there, the ROKU software gives you access to those and more streaming apps all in one remote. The ROKU software itself cost around 50 bucks but it comes with the TV, making it an even better deal!!
Simply put, with the price you pay on this TV, this TV delivers! If you’re looking for a TV because you’re wanting to keep up with today’s technology without paying a huge price or if your old TV finally gave out and are looking to replace it, this TV is for you.
I have always loved Sony’s TV. Whenever I go to the TV section of a store, I always compare the picture quality of the different brand TVs and I conclude that Sony’s quality always looked the best. My inner self is happy that Sony is still holding strong in delivering great quality TVs today.
This TV itself is a real sensation because this mid-range priced TV can probably be better than most of the toughest competitors on the market, thanks to its crisp and vibrant picture resolution. Its powerful processor gives this TV the enhanced quality that other TVs do not, making it one of the best visually stunning TVs out there.
The picture comes with great 4K and HDR range. If you put this in a bright room or a dark room, the picture on the TV will adjust its contrast and brightness automatically to the brightness or the darkness of the room. This is great news to those who have big windows with huge glares coming into the room.
It has the motion flow XR, meaning the picture on this TV will be constantly responsive with the dynamic action scenes without any motion blur. So thats good news for gamers who like explosions and constant action on the screen! It has a low input lag when it comes to the responsiveness of the gaming control to the TV.
From the design perspective, the TV comes with 4 sizes; 49, 55, 65, 75 or 85 inches. Regardless of the size, all of em have the same look and great performance. Personally, I’d get the 49 inch because my brain can’t take in the big screens, resulting me being dizzy. Click here for prices for each size.
The X900F Sony has a slick gorgeous black construction that has a tapered covering in the back and a sturdy metal stand. From the looks in the back of the stand, it has slots to insert and pull through cables from other devices. I find that convenient because I don’t like having cables hanging all over the back of the TV and easily collecting dust.
The TV also has a composite & component input, 4 HDMI inputs, 3 USB ports (two 2.0 and one 3.0) and an ethernet cable input. So basically, you can hook up Xbox, PS4, a Switch and a computer for movies! The fact that this TV has 4 HDMI inputs and, I ALMOST FORGOT, it can be connected with ALEXA, a self-automated AI that hears your commands and does stuff like turn on the tv, volume up or down, turn on PS4, go to Netflix, etc.. This TV has it all!!
With all that being said, Sony is still holding strong as being a top competitor of 4K TVs. For it’s price range, you will receive a great amount of value. Your gaming and movie experience in your man cave will be immersive with its unbelievable depth of picture quality!
LG C8 OLED65C8PUA 65″ OLED 4K HDR Dolby Atmos Smart TV with AI ThinQ
I gotta be honest. LG hasn’t impressed me with its TV selections from the past. I’ve heard a handful of stories that LG was known for its plasma TVs in my high school years and it would always leave picture burns on the screen if the picture remains idle. So for gaming, it wasn’t a recommended TV for me.
Jump to today and the stories have turned. LG provides LED TVs now and LG is number 2 on the top TV sales. For what I’m hearing about this TV, it is getting high praises as the top TV to get for gaming.
From a design perspective, the TV is SUPER thin! It looks stunning. I can’t believe just how thin the TV is. Just take care when you decide to transport it out of the box and into your designated place. The TV comes in 55, 65, or 77 inches. The inputs are located in the back on the left side. It has 4 HDMI, 3 USB, 1 RF, 1 Composite in, 1 Ethernet, 1 Optical, 1 RS232C (Mini Jack) and Audio Return Channel Support via HDMI.
The picture on this TV is actually incredible!! With the a9 intelligent processor, it displays a deep black, meaning on a black screen, its the darkest black it can display. When the sun glare shines on the screen, it won’t reflect back or show any light glare on the screen. It also won’t show reflections from a bright room. It’s that good!!
When you watch it on different angles, you usually see a change of color on the picture. On this TV, you’ll see very minimal. That means you can watch on any angle without missing out on the picture quality.
When it comes to gaming, its low input lag is the best, stating that if you put a samsung 4K TV test run with this LG TV, it’ll out perform the samsung for being faster to response time with the gaming controller. In other words, with the money you are paying for this TV, you’ll get the best performance.
LG has turn the tides on how we view gaming TVs. It’s incredibly thin structure and unparalleled picture quality will have gamers experiencing gaming like no other TV. If you have them money to splurge into one of the best gaming TVs, this TV will do it.
